Yep it’s true! It was rumored before that R2D2 made a cameo appearance in the movie, but only recently was he actually found. Perhaps red matter is responsible for this movie mash-up? Either way, awesome.

Oh, and the movie comes out tomorrow on DVD and Blu-ray. I’m excited.

The Epitome of Awesome

40 years ago today (actually to the minute of this posting), Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on the moon. The two of them, along with Michael Collins up in the Command Module, accomplished something that the rest of us can only dream about. Plus, they have something to talk about at the dinner table.

To commemorate this anniversary, NASA is streaming the transmissions during the landing between the crew in space and mission control that you can listen to here. It’s lengthy, but it’s really cool listening to all of this happen.

It’s an incredible feat, especially since the computers used in the landing were much weaker than whatever you’re using to read this now. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, we’ll be back.

After easily dispatching Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, the Operative had to take out of pair of evil lords: Sauron and Darth Vader. Now they face off head to head. Who is the most badass? The field of 16 is almost settled, and we already know that the Joker (The Dark Knight), Darth Vader (Star Wars), and The Operative (Serenity) are our top three seeds! However we have a three way tie for the 14 seed. Anton Chigurh (No Country for Old Men), John Doe (Se7en), Khan (Star Trek II), and Megatron (Transformers) all have 26 votes for them. However, only the top 16 make the bracket, and so only three of those four will survive to next week!

Now through Saturday at 11:59pm EST, vote on which of these four villains is the most badass! Look for the opening round brackets on Monday morning!
