Have you been looking for an excuse to shop? Now Sarah Jessica Parker and P. Diddy along with their friends Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenburg are encouraging you to shop! What better excuse?! These celebrities and designers (and many others) have gotten together to create a PSA for Fashion’s Night Out, a global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion. On Thursday, September 10th, over 700 retailers and designers across New York City are going to be open until 11pm, so treat yourself after work or school and go help the economy! I’m so disappointed that I won’t be in NYC for this event. Please go and buy lots! There will also be a clothing drive, so clean out your closet and donate the clothes to make room for all your new purchases! While you’re shopping, pick up a Fashion’s Night Out t-shirt at participating retailers. 40% of retail proceeds from the t-shirt sale will be donated by the retailers to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center.

Fashion Night’s Out will be held in 13 different countries, so if you’re not in the U.S., hopefully you can catch it where you are.
