This month’s bracket attempts to figure out this question: “Who is the Most Badass TV Character?”

After the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, and Final Four, we’re onto the Badass Championships! On the left side of the bracket Dr. Gregory House has cleared house and hobbled his way past all challengers to earn his spot. On the right, River Tam has beaten up the competition on her way to the finals.

Seeding Poll (Selection of Top 16) – April 27 to April 30
Sweet Sixteen – May 4 to 9
Elite Eight – May 11 to 16
Final Four – May 18 to 23
Badass Championship – May 25 to 30
Voting for each round will end at 11:59pm EST of the final day.
After it’s all said and done, we’ll be sending a “Certificate of Awesome” to the actor that plays that character.
Championship polls close at 11:59pm EST on Saturday May 30! After the polls close, we’ll have our winner!

House is a smart ass doctor who wouldn’t know how to shoot a gun let alone take out an army of flesh eating reavers. IMO if you spend your life in a safety zone curing people, you cant be a badass. You can be cool… but not a badass.
Nothing against House, he’s cool and all. But compared to “Crazy Woman” River (still laughing at that profession description)… no competition really. River shot three people, with three bullets, while her eyes were closed! And she doesn’t need bullets in the first place, she can kill you with her brain!
River Tam is no crazy woman. She is a nice girl on the side of good, against the evil.

Oh, come on, Traum… take it with humor. We all know River is a sweetie and has gotten most of the trauma out of her system at the end of Serenity. But still, the description kinda fits, if you don’t take it too seriously that is.

River is obviously the one. The qualifier is that on TV we didn’t get to see what a badass she was. In the movie SERENITY, however, we did. As we see her in the movie, she could easily take on all the other people in this poll at once and handle them with ease. But we never got to see THAT River in the TV show, though we got hints of her.

Honestly there’s no contest here. She once took out twenty people in a bar and then had a pleasant nap. House can’t even successfully poison one person without feeling guilty about it.
Interesting that River Tam ends up going up against a doctor in the final round, seeing as how her brother IS Dr. Simon Tam and has many similarities to our dear Dr. House. In fact considering what all Simon goes through, chances are Dr. Simon Tam becomes Dr. House in twenty years. Cantankerous. Rowdy. Manipulative. Fiendish. Self-serving. Untrusting. Too smart for his own good, and probably addicted to pain pills. He might even start hallucinating dead people.
River Tam wins hands down, not just because she could kill House with her brain, but because she will know (through adept speculation and not psychic witchcraft tho some still believe it’s the latter) what House is thinking before he can think it, and that’s pretty amazing cuz House’s brain’s pretty incredible in its own right, but he’s still got an amygdala. Those things slow down thought processes. He should have his removed. River’s doing fine without one now. After a fashion.
Also, he’d be too busy trying to bed her. Which is gross cuz she’s half his age. She’d just knock him out and chain him up and move on to the next cantankerous sot with a narcissistic psychological aberration.

Well River TAM won this one from the start. She’s the equivalent of having a wild animal as a pet. You just never know when those animal instincts to kill might come out. Especially when the animal in question is the most efficient killer there is. I’m puzzled why Katherine weaver of Xiera corp (TSCC) wasn’t in it, She’s a “good” terminator but she’s so bad ass I’m not sure she’s on anyside and kills inventively, cold and indiscriminately.
