Hello all!

Every Sunday, I’ll be writing an “Artist or Song of the Week” column. There is so much great indie music out there that the major labels are too dense to acknowledge, and Awesomepolis is a great platform to share this music with the world. So if you like listening to new stuff that’s not on the radio, please take a listen.

This week’s artist is Landon Smith, a pop singer/songwriter from Texas.  He’s quite mainstream for an artist that isn’t on the Billboard charts, very much in the style of a Jack Johnson or a Jason Mraz. He has a light, clean tone, great guitar playing, catchy songs, and polished production value on his recordings. Also, several girls have independently told me he’s really hot (although that has no value to me at all, it may be of interest to some readers).
